The Japanese Club at USF and Association of Filipino Students cordially invite you out to a night of bowling at Florida Lanes on Wednesday, April 20th, from 9PM-12AM (some AFS members remember this as the weekly spot for AFS bowling). Let’s all have a good time.

Last Japanese Club Meeting of the Semester!

The year flew by so fast. Are you ready to meet the new Japanese Club at USF Officers? We hope so! Please come out to one last meeting for this year and have some fun with us! We’ll have food, games, and fun!

The last meeting will feature:
-New Officer Introductions, Come get to know your new officers!
-A Recap of the 2010-2011 School Year
-News on End of the Year Socials we have coming up!
-Video Games! (DDR, Street Fighter, Super Smash Bros., Marvel Vs. Capcom, N64, etc.!-Let us know if there is anything you want to play!)
-Raffles with prizes (Restaurant gift certificates and other prizes)
-FOOD!!!

So make sure you come out and support the new Japanese Club Executive Board. Next year is going to be the best year yet!

Thank you to everyone who came to the Hope for Japan Charity Dinner and Candlelight Dinner. You showed your generosity to those suffering in Japan and helped a great cause. Your generosity was amazing to see. This event wouldn’t have been possible without all the great organizations who teamed up with the Japanese Club at USF and all the restaurants and volunteers who contributed to our cause. “We all know of the devastation that happened in Japan on March 11, 2011.

-A deadly 8.9 earthquake and a massive 23 foot tsunami stormed the country
-The effects of this natural disaster has killed over 10,000 innocent people and left over 500,000 homeless and thousands have been without power
-The effects of these disasters are devastating, still lingering within Japan and they need our help!

We need to come together as the University of South Florida and show that we care and we want to help this country in need.

Together as one we will make the difference…

Natsu Matsuri 2010

The Florida Jet Alumni Association (JETAA) and Consulate General of Japan are hosting their annual Japanese summer festival called Natsu (Summer) Matsuri (Festival) on June 19, 2010 from 9am to 12pm. They will have all kinds of booths with games, prizes, and fun. The Japanese Club at USF is promoting the event and would love to see you there!
